Vladyslav and Veronika Organize Second Charity Event for Ukraine
Ukrainian choreographers and performers Vladyslav Detiuchenko and Veronika Rakitina are organizing a second evening on Saturday, March 1st, at Korzo in The Hague to raise money for the victims in Ukraine. Their mission is to draw attention to the brave fight for independence and freedom in Ukraine with Light in Darkness II, while also raising funds to help those in need. They have programmed a special evening with dance and music performances. All proceeds will go to the charity organization Netherlands 4 Ukraine.
On February 24, 2025, it will be three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. This event will take place in that same week. The first Light in Darkness event was very successful, raising 20,000 euros through ticket sales and the sale of exclusive artworks by Casper Faassen. These funds were crucial for purchasing and delivering a fully equipped ambulance to Ukraine. The dancers cannot remain silent while witnessing the heartbreaking events in their homeland. That is why they are returning with a benefit event in collaboration with Korzo, bringing together talented artists from Ukraine, the Netherlands, and other countries on one stage.
Light in Darkness II is a powerful evening program full of art and solidarity in support of Ukraine and those who have suffered due to the war. "Our mission is to raise awareness of Ukraine's brave struggle for independence and freedom, while raising crucial funds to support those who urgently need help. We are committed to delivering medical supplies, equipment, and humanitarian aid to those affected by this ongoing crisis," say Vladyslav and Veronika. "We cannot remain silent while we witness the heartbreaking events in our homeland. That is why we are returning with a renewed event, in collaboration with Korzo, to bring talented artists from Ukraine, the Netherlands, and beyond together on one stage." One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the charity organization Netherlands 4 Ukraine.
